I agree with you. It has always been a choice for some families. The decision is, regrettably, more in the open in this century than in previous ones. As far as this past century, many doctors of the time promoted bottle feeding above breastfeeding . They felt breastfeeding was dirty or for the poorer people. This was more of our Great-grandmothers and Grandmothers era. (I got this straight from my great-grandmother.)
Today, because of this passing philosophy most employers do not have adequate facilities or even a restroom stall with an electrical outlet to give a nursing mom a little peace. So what choice is there? Some women have 12 hr. shifts.— A. Hahn
